Pokemon Day at the Library

StoryWalk Installation
Starting late-January 2026, a new StoryWalk installation will be available to the public. Featuring a bilingual children’s book, El Maravilloso Mundo de Susy La pequeña Hormiga Aventurera - The Wonderful World of Susy The Adventurous Little Ant, written by Naivi Vera. Enjoy the story while you walk the StoryWalk trail at Mario Leal City Park.
Children’s Sunflowers Class by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension
Sunflowers Program for Children is a hands-on class open to children of all ages. This Texas A&M AgriLife Program includes: parts of a sunflower, benefits to humans and animals, seeds and oils, sunflower craft, and more. This is a great class for those who homeschool, or just want to attend a fun, hands-on class for children.

Stressed after a long day? Want to have a relaxing moment? Discover an oasis of calm, with softly playing Zen music and aromatherapy, while you paint with watercolors, do a puzzle, or color adult coloring pages. Open to all who want a Zen moment at the Library. Your mind needs it, and it will thank you.

Presenting City of Elsa Police as a Toddler Time Special Guest. Come celebrate Law Enforcement appreciation day with a special Storytime ready by City of Elsa Chief of Police. Learn what it means to be a police officer and tips on how to stay safe. MLK Jr. Day Closure
Elsa Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The library will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, July 20, 2026.
Sewing Machine Basics and Quilting Class Introductory Meeting and Enrollment
If you are interested in joining this class, please attend this important meeting. Class size will have a max of sixteen (16) persons, on a first come, first served basis. A waitlist will be available. You must attend this meeting to enroll in the class. Instruction and guidance by the Rio Grande Valley Quilt Guild. Materials and tools will be provided. Class will meet on Saturdays, once weekly (except the 2nd Saturday of the month). Further information about the course will be provided at meeting.
