Presenting City of Elsa Fire Department as a Toddler Time Special Guest. October is Fire Safety Month. Come and enjoy Storytime with our very own City of Elsa Fire Department. Meet real heroes, learn fire safety tips, and have fun with Sparky the mascot. The Toddler Time program is committed to providing our community with fun, engaging, and educational activities for children aged 1-5.
National Night Out
In recognition of breast cancer awareness month Elsa Public Library will have a booth at National Night Out. To show support, we will be handing out breast cancer awareness gifts while they last. Early detection saves lives. All together against breast cancer! Come see us at The Garden at Pacific Trails.

Crafting a Halloween Mask 2025
Show off your crafting skills and enter to win a prize. All ages welcome to participate. Halloween Masks must be primarily (80% or more) from craft supplies. All mask components must be crafted, not store-bought. See List of complete contest rules.
Submissions will be accepted from Monday, October 20th to Friday, October 24th.
Mask entries will be judged blindly by a panel of judges. A 1st prize and Runner-Up will be announced on Halloween Day. Best of luck!
Spooktacular Pumpkin Decorating Contest 2025
All pumpkins must be decorated only - not carved. All ages welcome to participate.
Submissions will be accepted from Monday, October 20th to Friday, October 24th.
Pumpkin entries will be judged blindly by a panel of judges. A 1st prize and Runner-Up will be announced on Halloween Day. Best of luck!

Across the Chapters Book Club Movie Night

Let’s play and build with Legos! Open to all ages. Building fun on November 5th from 5pm to 7pm. Elsa Public Library will supply all Legos. First come, first served basis. Snacks and drinks will be provided, while it lasts.

Join us for a tea party. Wear your favorite tea hat. We will be serving hot tea, tea sandwiches, fruit, and cookies, while it lasts. Stay to play tea-themed bingo and win prizes. All ages welcome.

Meet the Author - Patty York Raymond
Come meet Patty York Raymond, multi-award-winning author. Join us for a meet and greet, storytime, and light refreshments. Her book, There Was a Tenacious Teacher Who Scarfed Down a Sticker, will be featured at the Elsa Public Library StoryWalk located at Mario Leal City Park. Help support our local authors.

Starting mid-September 2025, a new StoryWalk installation will be available to the public. Featuring There Was a Tenacious Teacher Who Scarfed Down a Sticker, written by Patty York Raymond and Illustrated by Ayan Saha. Enjoy the story while you walk the StoryWalk trail at Mario Leal City Park.
