Elsa Public Library offers books in the general collection and children’s collection. Come check out the New Arrivals bookshelf.

A limit of ten (10) book items are allowed at a time for adult patrons.

A limit of five (5) books items are allowed at a time for children patrons.

Books are on loan for fourteen (14) days.

Books may be renewed a total of three (3) times unless there is a reserve on a particular title.

Books may be renewed in person, by telephone, or online through the Hidalgo County Library Systems website.

Reserving Materials:
Patrons may reserve materials either in person, over the phone, or online through the Hidalgo County Library Systems website. Patrons will be notified by telephone when the materials are available for check-out. There is no charge to the patron for placing a reserve or for the use of Interlibrary Loan Services. Elsa Public Library will hold materials for only two (2) days after notifying the patron. If the materials are not picked up within this time period, the items will be placed back on the shelf for circulation.
